| As a result of our time in Israel in 2007 I found a new interest in study of things about Israel. In this past year I have spent hours of time in study of history both before and after Jesus. I looked over every verse of the Old Testament "Torah" and tried to see how the Jews understood them. It has made a big difference in the insight I have gotten and it has made a big impact on the messages that I have given at Aptos Calvary Chapel when our pastor was not able to teach.
Someone gave me The Last Jihad by Joel Rosenberg which I found enjoyable as well as enlightening. I signed up to receive his Blog and in that I learned of the Epicenter Conference in Jerusalem on April 10, 2008. One thing led to another and we found a way to join with Chuck Smith and the Costa Mesa Church on their trip to Israel April 3rd through 14th, 2008.
The journal for this trip is still being written but some of the 2000 photographs that were of interest to the group can be viewed on the FLICKR Israel 2008 Gallery.
